Owner and climber. In this trade those are usually two different people.
On their own site the only place a human being appears is a contact field that reads “Bob Stoudt ( Owner and Climber)”. It is easy to miss and it is the single most important thing about this business.
The man who quotes the job is the man in the tree.
In most tree companies of any size, an estimator walks the property, writes a number, and a crew turns up later to find out what he actually meant. Everything that goes wrong in this trade lives in that gap: the drop zone that turned out to have a septic lid in it, the access that was measured on a phone screen, the tree that was quoted as a fell and has to be rigged.
Here the person standing in your yard with a notepad is the person who will be on the end of the rope. That is why the reviews keep using the word fair about the pricing and keep using Bob’s first name. It is also why the number he gives you tends to be the number.

Get above it
Rope and saddle where the tree is staying or the access is tight, the tracked lift where a gate allows it. Either way nothing heavy crosses the lawn.

Take it in pieces
Each section cut small enough to lower on a line, over wires, over roofs, over anything that cannot take a limb. Nothing swings.

Clear the ground
Trunk cut to length and loaded, or left at stove length. Brush chipped off site or dropped in your beds. Stump ground if it was quoted, chip raked off the grass either way.
